Crochet Queens

The shop has been quite busy which is always a good thing :)  I have a new pattern on my hook, working it out right now it’s a baby jacket/cardigan and it is super easy.  Also doing alot of experimenting with the Magic Super Needle aka Amazing Needle because I really do think that this will really work for most crocheters.  I have been teaching quite a few people to knit and crochet so right now the interest seems to be on the rise.  I have now added tatting to the shop and will get a few classes going with that as well.  Couldn’t really ask for things to be much better right now, I am really thankful I am still in business at this time.

Just wanted to post a quick note, you post spam, I mark it as spam and you won’t see your comment.  But oh well I guess some people have nothing better to do.  I do of course LOVE spam, canned that is.  We love to fry it and then make a sandwich or just eat it.  so YUM YUM spam is good, hey I wonder how junk, not important comments and emails were named after such a good thing ?

I just ordered a couple of books at Amazon, it’s not like I need more books but one is by Margaret Hubert it’s one I do not have and I do collect her books, it’s a must have really, honest, I swear, hehehehehehe.

Whoo Hoo we made it to 2010, for some odd reason I am so excited to see what this year will bring and at the same time it’s a little scary.  I am really hoping that it will bring more jobs and that the economy will start turning around for everyone.  Other than sending positive energy out there I don’t know what else I can personally do.  I have not been able to post in here as often as I would like to, so maybe that can be a goal for this year.  I am still working on the new site, Craft Euphoria and I still need writers. You can post your own google adsense number on there and you will get the money for it, so in a way the more your write, the more people will come and that will generate money via google ads, so you do get a little money for it. Well I better go, have to open my yarn shop here and go to work.

Yes here we are with another wonderful year ahead.  I can’t complain about 2009 at all, I opened a yarn shop and have been quite busy.  Of course everything at home has fallen to the wayside, my house WILL NOT pass the wthie glove test and frankly my dear I don’t give a damn My family is all warm, cozy, fed, and happy THAT is what counts not a nice a neat showroom house, yes I know this is my own opinion and I’m sticking to it.  We had the lovely priveledge of going home for X-mas to spend with family and my overly beautiful Grand Daughter, who is quite a pistol, and I loved every minute of it.  Do you see a sort of trend here, I finally learned, yes it took me a while but I “got it” ……do not worry about cleaning when you can spend that time having fun, crocheting, knitting, or ?????  Now don’t get worried here, my house is not crawling with cooties, it just means that I probably dust once a week or week and a half, and I don’t spend all my time worrying about it.  Trust me when I say that dust stays there until I get it off, it does not go anywhere and so far there have not been any House Clean Police coming by to give me a citation although I have heard that the reason they haven’t is because they have fallen madly in lust with the Pattern Police and the Pie Police (they do exist they do exist) in any case this keeps them away.  Happy New year and here is wishing everyone a happy wonderful year ahead !!!!

Yes I am having a help out your local Animal Shelter drive and alls you have to do is come in to the shop, Hook, Yarn and Needles 1346 Idaho St. and bring a bag of dog,cat,kitten,puppy food (purina preferred), new metal water/food bowls, dog biscuits, cat litter (scamp preferred) and you will get 20% off your entire purchase for that day.  Not trying to be picky about the food, I will take anything you have to offer but they do try and feed a regular purina diet and the reason that scamp cat litter is preferred is because it won’t clog thier drains but again bring in any kind,  I will certainly take it and donate it.

Since I opened a business this year, we will be participating in what they call “Trick or Treat Street” it is at our convention center, a very safe place for smaller kids to come trick or treating and it is fun. So Saturday we (meaning my family and I) go to the movies to see “9″ which was fantastic can’t wait for the DVD to come out then we decide that I really need to get to Walmart to get a few things for trick or treat street, can’t be too scary because it is for the younger ones and here comes the rant. I mean for crying out loud it is only October 11, come on leave the Halloween stuff out but NOOOOOO they are already condensing the Halloween stuff and putting up the “C” word stuff. Oh I do not like this at all, I don’t like it so much and I will not be going there. Personally I get sort of sick of it, it doesn’t even seem like X-mas anymore it seems more like “Gee I am a store and we need to make as much money as possible here so lets remind them every damn second that it’s coming” I say BAAAHHHH Humbug, every year it seems they do it earlier and earlier plus WHAT ABOUT THANKSGIVING ????? There is no way in he double hockey sticks that I skipping over a turkey with all the trimmings and mashed potatoes and turkey gravy….I wanna see fall leaves, turkey hot pads etc. etc. Maybe I am just getting old or something but it was always really exciting to me and I could hardly wait for the day after Thanksgiving to go see all the X-mas stuff, it was exciting but now it isn’t, it is boring because I am looking at it for 2 1/2 months….So to Walmart and all you other box stores STOP IT, give us consumers back the surprise and fun.

Well I certainly do believe in the power of 3, not like I am he man power but positive power.  I am pretty certain my family has just gotten handed that power of 3.  Let’s see about 3 weeks ago my niece had her son, all was calm and I thought the next one (another niece) was not due until Oct 6 and the other niece was due at the end of Oct but then Monday end of Oct baby born early, all is well and just about an hour ago Oct 6 baby was born so for my family the power of 3 has certainly hit.  The boy was born first and then the two girls, yea thats about how we roll in this family there are 2 girls for every boy, kinda cool though really.

Yes I am getting ready to launch something, don’t want to spill the beans yet but Oh My Goddess there are just so many things to choose from really.  I wish I could say that I can just pick something out and go with it but for me it just isn’t that easy……I think I suffer from “eeewww Shiny” syndrome, I see one thing and like it then I see another and then I forget the first one and it goes on and on.  Yes I am quite aware that not alot gets accomplished with this but eventually it will, it always does.
